NOT THA ONE, Riddlore, Ira Lee & Vanessa John Impress With New Hit Single “The Person On The Internet”

“The Person On The Internet” explodes a powerhouse collaboration with veteran emcees Riddlore, Ira Lee, Not Tha One with musical/vocal accompaniment by Toronto’s Vanessa John.

A hard-knocking boom-bap cyber-duster for hardcore underground rap fans and the anti-incel.

This cerebral rap-banger reads like a cypher of word acrobats in a textural network of space debris.

The addition of Vanessa John’s ethereal guitar moans converse with the sporadic, live and dirty MicroKorg instrumentation layers, compliments ET.Not patriarchal; not incels; not two minutes and forty-six seconds.

You’re the person on the internet
Faced blurred in the pic
The burnt-chipped-cigarette
The curvature
The silhouette
You’re the person on the internet,
And I’ve been searching for you
All my life
Loving you
In bitterness

About:

NOT THA ONE is the current evolution of Canadian emcee Evan Tyler (ET). The foundation for all projects ET stem from an expertise in winding, hard-hitting streams of intricate word aerobics, bass guitar + MicroKorg instrumentation. A generous amount of intricate rap-poems are weaved into both unorthodox and conventional song compositions in part with frequent collaborations with a wide variety of artists. Sonically: garage-core appendage with live multi-analog vocal treatment (as a way to reject the singularity of an emcee’s voice.)

Moving images, drawn lines and vocal multiplicity is the inevitable realm these skills and interests grind up, wounding frequent video mixtapes and audio/visual sketchbook entries. This is a key space where the in-between, raw & vulnerable garage moments get to shine alongside studio-made songs. NOT THA ONE is just that: the unending grimy, garage thought; clawing out the internal shape-show of a prairie-born artist; an assembly of personalities and satellite-kites in the lineage of lexicon bending broadcast agents. Rap brain.

NOT THA ONE is one half of dirt-rap duo MS.GOD as well as one half of the band Lemon-Aids.

Riddlore, is a pioneering lyricist, experimental producer, and cornerstone of Los Angeles’ underground hip-hop movement. With roots stretching back to the 1990s, his career has been defined by innovation, authenticity, and global vision—earning him a place among the architects of West Coast indie rap.

As a founding member of the legendary C.V.E. (Chillin Villain Empire) and a core figure in the iconic open-mic workshop Project Blowed, Riddlore helped shape the improvisational and avant-garde ethos of L.A. hip-hop. Performing under aliases like Rhymin Riddler, he debuted on the historic Project Blowed compilation in 1995, carving a lane for experimental lyricism and underground resistance that continues to inspire.

A trusted collaborator and sonic alchemist, Riddlore has contributed to landmark projects with artists like Aceyalone, Busdriver, and countless other innovators across the globe. His style merges cryptic poetry with raw soundscapes, never shying away from confronting systems, questioning power, and speaking truth to noise.

Ira Lee

Twisting rap music inside out with his bizarre and sorrowful storytelling examining a diverse, yet cohesive multitude of influences. Informed by the visceral emotion of a constantly shape shifting existence, Lee employs the absurd punishment and guilty discoveries of sound and science to the degenerative, polymorphic, sycophantic romance of the human condition.

Vanessa John
is a Toronto based songwriter, musician, DJ, and reprobate. Focused on the experimentation, her genre fluid approach is as diverse as her Guyanese background. She does it on her own terms and is at home with an acoustic ballad as an all-out electric feedback fest. How about just listen?
