Explore the Gritty Reality of Inland Empire in PAC Alexander's 'Delay of Game' Album

Curtis (PAC) Alexander is an American rap artist from Fontana, California (Inland Empire) is noted for his ability to use metamorphic, sometimes animated witty like punch lines in his music. His music tells us a chilling truth that can only be told from his first hand experience in the streets of the (IE) Inland Empire of California.

January 12, 2009, PAC lost his best friend to gang violence. Rumors say Pac was the intended target. This sent him spiraling downhill. In 2013, he received his first conviction; guilty of possession of a loaded firearm. He was sentenced to three years at the Old Folsom State Prison. He served eighteen months total.

Pac felt he had to live the life he rapped about in order to sustain his notorious street reputation. Therefore he would commit the act first, and rap about what actually happened second. With that lifestyle women, drugs, guns and money was always apart of the narrative. This led him to his devastating arrest for pimping and pandering in 2015. He made bail and continued to feed the IE streets.

By 2016 PAC found himself in handcuffs once again, this time for possession of a loaded firearm. With God speed PAC was released from county jail again, but this time he was out on two bails. That didn't stop him from creating. He went on a tirade with visuals and new music that featured his protege (JayR). Who was also known in the streets for his flashy style and absurd rap delivery. July 7th, 2016 Juventino Montez was murdered in the north side of Fontana, Ca. He fell victim to gun violence in a botched robbery.

In June 2017 PAC was caught in another twist, This time a close friend of his used his name to get out of another pimping case. Alexander being out on two bails already was forced to go on the run, at least until things blew over and he had his lawyer paid for in advance. By March 2018 he was arrested again in Cincinnati Ohio and extradited back to California. His journey had finally come to an end. Alexander would spend the next four years in county jail, fighting for his freedom and fighting rival gang members for survival and sport.

PAC signed a plea deal in November, 2022 for pimping and gang charges related to a loaded firearm. He was sentenced twelve years in state prison. He would only have to serve six years total. The remaining two years were spent working on his physical appearance and strengthening his spirituality. He tattooed his fellow inmates with a with a jail made tattoo machine and filled notepads with new music and more witty metaphors. Six months before his release from prison, PAC Alexander inks a global distribution deal with DogSled Music Group and releases his debut album "Delay Of Game" from behind the walls of North Kern State Prison. Check out his album on all platforms and his video releases on Vevo Apple Music Video, Tidal Video, Boomplay, and Xite. Check out his channel:  https://www.youtube.com/@PACAlexanderVEVO

Hidden Renaissance share wide-ranging collaborative album 'BA SING SE'

Hidden Renaissance have dropped off their latest project, BA SING SE. The LP is chock full of textural, organic production that brings forth a variety of styles, paired with lyrically sharp, poignant verses that contain hearty doses of introspection, humor, and rawness. With a massive cast of collaborators that was narrowed down from over 200 artists submitting to be a part of the album, Hidden Renaissance pulls off a highly cohesive project despite all of the musicians involved. Moreover, undercurrents of passion and love for hip-hop tie together BA SING SE, while paying a testament to one of the genre’s core traditions of collaboration.

BA SING SE emanates a lo-fi tinged warmth that gives the songs character and makes them immersive. With layered soul and jazz samples and organic, punchy percussion, many of the tracks are refreshingly modern, but also pay homage to the genre’s roots with an engaging retro feel. “firstsaveyourself” blends futuristic, electro-infused sounds with gritty boom-bap for a refreshing flavor, while the glitchy, pitched-down sonic tapestry of “Heaven’s Resources II” is an evocative take on lo-fi hip-hop- putting a personal touch on something in the sLUms vein. The bassy “Conditioner” brings in elements of dance music, while the vocalists combine for a potent series of spitfire verses that keep the listener on their toes. Overall, BA SING SE contains an eclectic variety of songs that demonstrate the diversity of Hidden Renaissance, while combining for a cohesive whole.

On BA SING SE, Hidden Renaissance vocalist CityBoiGreg says, “I’ve never anticipated a drop so badly. And to think- there are waayy more songs like these that didn’t make the cut. Not to mention how ingenious of a way to not only bring the underground together, but an effortless way to push the sound (s) of the underground to new heights. Hidden Renaissance is truly a game changer”.

Fellow Hidden Renaissance vocalist OJ Mountain says, “Hidden Renaissance isn’t a group, or even a collective- it’s an idea. And this idea has allowed me to progress as an artist more than I ever could have imagined. It’s infinitely fulfilling to be able to share an album that is as complete and as passionately crafted as this one. It fundamentally embodies the Hidden Renaissance idea”.

In today’s music world, BA SING SE stands out- firstly for its concept as a massive collaborative LP, but also for its sound. Soulful, lively, and intertwined with a shared passion for hip-hop, BA SING SE is like a love letter to the genre written by many hands.

From Street Tapes to Stardom: Sammy Smash's 'Luv U NYC

'Luv U NYC' is Sammy Smash's rhythmic homage to the city of dreams. Growing up in Harlem, his early exposure to music led him to sing at a young age and later decline an opportunity with The Boys Choir of Harlem to stay close to home. By age 10, his blend of music and entrepreneurship was evident as he sold tapes on the streets. These experiences shaped his understanding of the music industry, which he saw firsthand through New Gallexy. His song 'Luv U NYC' is a testament to his journey and the city that inspired his rise from a young businessman to a recognized music producer.

Brace yourselves for a musical experience like no other, as SistaDaddyo, also known as Brittany Little, readies herself to unveil her latest single, "I Know What You Like," within the enchanting confines of a special promotional release referred to as the "Black Friday Bundle." The official release date for this highly anticipated track is scheduled for the end of October, setting the stage for an unforgettable start to the holiday season.

A versatile and accomplished artist, Brittany Little, widely recognized as SistaDaddyo, wears multiple hats. She is an entrepreneur, musician, rapper, writer, comedian, and, perhaps most notably, a breast cancer survivor. Her journey, originating from the diverse neighborhoods of High Point, North Carolina, paints an inspirational portrait of personal transformation and creative expression.

Brittany's metamorphosis into SistaDaddyo found its catalyst on June 4, 2019, as she returned home from a hospital stay. Faced with the challenges of breast cancer, she was compelled to slow down and embark on a profound self-exploration. Her holistic approach to battling the disease led her to make significant lifealtering decisions aimed at improving her overall well-being. Despite her triumphant fight against cancer, a stark incongruity lingered in her self-perception. Society's expectations and the pressure to conform to conventional gender norms were at odds with her genuine self. In response to this inner struggle, she embraced her true self, giving rise to the dual identity of "Sista" and "Daddyo." "Sista" symbolizes her feminine side, while "Daddyo" personifies her masculine identity. This transformative moment marked the commencement of an incredible journey of self-acceptance, resilience, and self-expression.

Over the past six months, SistaDaddyo's evolution as an artist has been nothing short of remarkable. She describes herself as being more "uniform" and professionally grounded, having graduated from an artist development program. Her artistic path is now clearer than ever, setting the stage for an exciting new phase of her career.

SistaDaddyo masterfully leverages entertainment and comedy to represent the tumultuous terrain of her life, embracing personal struggles, growth, self-love, and enduring healing. Through her artistic endeavors, she serves as a guiding light, helping others discover their own path to self-discovery and acceptance.

SistaDaddyo is also set to introduce an exhilarating brand of apparel known as "Phuckahbra." This brand embodies freedom, resilience, vulnerability, and the celebration of humanity. Phuckahbra advocates the journey of self-discovery, self-love, and rising above societal judgment. It stands as a haven for those who have ever felt like they don't quite belong. Notably, Phuckahbra is committed to raising awareness about breast cancer through the realms of clothing, music, and diverse forms of entertainment. Within the world of Phuckahbra, being unapologetically oneself is celebrated as the ultimate form of self-expression.

Speaking about what sets her apart, SistaDaddyo shares, "My story sets me apart from others, being a breast cancer survivor who has undergone a bilateral mastectomy, and identifying as a stud in the LGBTQIA community. It's a story that many can relate to but haven't had the opportunity to hear."

SistaDaddyo readily acknowledges the most significant hurdle she has faced in her artistic journey, remarking, "The biggest obstacle was learning patience and proper planning. Wanting to move so fast that you are not even paying attention to the daily."

Through her music, SistaDaddyo aspires to create a sense of relatability, asserting, "I want people to feel like it's relatable...I want all people to be like 'yeah, this is what I like,' regardless of their background or demographic. You can relate to the music."

Her most significant life achievement to date has been the triumphant battle against breast cancer and the ensuing journey of self-discovery and self-love. As she emphasizes, "Sometimes we live our lives without truly knowing who we are."

To encapsulate her essence, SistaDaddyo directs attention to her song "Scared of Love," a poignant track that delves into her personal experiences and her unique perspective on love. It offers listeners an intimate glimpse into her most vulnerable self.

SistaDaddyo's music is a testament to resilience, selfacceptance, and the celebration of authenticity. The forthcoming release of "I Know What You Like" within the "Black Friday Bundle" promises to be a highlight of the season.
